Even though we grew up three miles from each other it took the dating app Bumble for us to meet. We had a great first date and have not gone a day without talking since...or as we like to joke we have tolerated each other ever since.

The kids are pretty much our lives so it was only fitting that Matt made them a big part of the proposal. In September before we had family photos taken Matt told the kids he had a scavenger hunt for them to do. The kids got to do a series of tasks that included solving riddles, anagrams, equations and puzzles to get clues for a scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt ended when they found all of the words to make up the sentence “Katie, Everett and Kyla will you marry me?” Needless to say there were no forced smiles in our family pictures this year!
