What is the best way to get to Appleton?

Answer

The Appleton airport is super convenient but only offers direct flights from a few places (Charlotte, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, and various airports in Florida, as of January 2023). If you fly into Appleton you probably don't need a rental car, as you could Uber or take the hotel shuttle to the hotels, which are only about 10-15 minutes away from the airport. Milwaukee and Chicago offer more options for direct flights but are a little further out (Milwaukee is about 1.75 hours from Appleton and Chicago is about 3 hours away). If you fly into one of these airports, you could get to Appleton via rental car or the Greyhound bus from Milwaukee. This bus leaves from downtown Milwaukee and drops you off in downtown Appleton.

Do I need a rental car?

If you are flying into Milwaukee or Chicago you may want to rent a car for the drive to Appleton. Once you arrive in Appleton, you probably won't need a rental car, as the hotels, church, and reception are all within walking distance of each other. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options within walking distance. If you want to make a trip up to Green Bay/ Lambeau Field it may be a good idea to get a rental car, as public transportation options are limited.

Transportation will not be provided as the reception venue is across the street from St. Joe's. There is limited parking at The 513, if needed.

No dress code, but most people will probably be semi-formal
