Justin actually works for the zoo! Which means, we have a select few free passes to give out (on a first come first serve basis) just let one of us know! Otherwise, it's a great zoo (I've heard one of the best) to visit.
This is the HUGE urban park in the middle of San Diego. Full of trails, museums, the zoo, gardens, etc. Very photogenic and parking is relatively easy.
This is the main drag of downtown, full of restaurants, shops, and nightlife!
Located at Mission Beach, this amusement park is located right on the beach, and there's a really cool historic wooden roller coaster!
The "island" is across the harbor from downtown, accessible from the Coronado Bridge, or a ferry that leaves from the docks behind the convention center! Great beach and the historic Hotel Del Coronado are located on the far side of the "island."
Mission Bay is the place to go if you're into water sports, kayaking, paddle boarding, or jet-skiing. The Mission Bay Aquatic Center has all sorts of rentals!
Touristy beach with a boardwalk full of shops. Easy access from the street (parking is pretty cutthroat, though).
Hippie beach, also home to Dog Beach! Easy access from the street, though parking is a little tough sometimes.
Snorkel, swim, or interact with wild seal and sea lions! There's also a nice path that takes you along the cliffs.
The clothing optional beach, for the more adventurous types (when in Rome, right?). Aside from the obvious, it is a really nice 1/4 mile hike down the cliffs to get here, and it's rarely crowded.
A remote annex to the zoo with more "free range" animal exhibits, located in North County.
You're so close, why not just pop into Mexico for a minute? You can park in the US and walk over the border to a little touristy area. Bring your passport!
