Great news for us, the fact that we grew up 45 minutes away from each other in Sacramento, CA and that we went to Loyola Marymount University only 2 years apart from each other meant we had just a *few* mutual friends. Spoiler: It was a decent amount of mutual friends. Particularly from our time at LMU even though we never technically went there at the same time. We had our first date at Playa Vista's finest restaurant that offers a pretty mediocre happy hour margarita, Gulp. Matt had just gotten back from the U.S. Open in the Hamptons with his parents and insisted that he didn't want to get home and immediately leave his dog. Matt asked me if he could bring his dog, Tucker. Now me being an overly enthusiastic dog lover said OF COURSE I WOULD BE UPSET IF YOU DIDNT. We chatted about where we grew up, our families, Taylor Swift, and of course Tucker. The conversation was good, but the real closer was Tucker. Real smooth Aronson. From there we dated for a year and a half before moving in together in Santa Monica... 2 weeks before we were placed in lockdown in March of 2020. Which was a real sink or swim kind of experience. Thankfully we are both very strong proverbial swimmers! We thrived spending time together with Tucker, watching so much Netflix, and having many zoom parties with friends and family. In June of 2021, the day before we were set to board our annual Houseboat trip with the Friends on Shasta Lake, Matt decided to lock this thing down and proposed surrounded by photos from our lives together, family, and of course, Tucker. Once Tucker knew we were going to love each other for the rest of our lives as much as he loved us, he felt ready to say goodbye and unfortunately passed away 10 days later. We are ready to celebrate love; unwavering, deep, and always present, just like Tucker's. Can't wait to celebrate with you ❤️
