Matt and I have a fun little story about our little journey from the beginning to now! We met at Robert T. Hill Junior High where we became friends and had a lot of the same friend group. We continued to be friends in high school at Bryan Adams, and we both secretly had crushes on each other, but one of us wasn’t single at the time… so, the friendship just continued as was. We happened to have an English class together and we were asked to do a creative project with Shakespeare’s sonnets… So, I had a kind of funny idea to get married at my church wearing my mom‘s wedding dress and walk down the aisle to Kenny G. and marry Matt. After a quick fake ceremony lead by another schoolmate in our group, we performed the sonnets to finalize our class project. The whole thing was HILARIOUS. My mom recorded it for us, and of course we got an A - along with some awesome memories. Since our first marriage together (wink wink), we graduated high school and remained good friends. We hung out together, went to a few Cowboy games, met up and watched sports, and hung out with the McIntires (Clay has been Matt’s bestie since 1st grade and a great friend of mine since junior high). Then the last few years we started getting together more frequently, it all just kind of fell into place, and now after all these years here we are madly in love and working on happily ever after. Now that we are about to be married twice, we should have it down 😁
