Matt and Jenna first met in 2005 at Ereckson Middle School in Allen, Texas. Throughout middle school and high school they both knew of each other through sports and social circles, but never truly connected. During this time, Akiya and Betty both worked at the same elementary school. Akiya would often mention to Betty how compatible their two kids would be together, and she mentioned it to Matt a few times, too! Fast forward to 2021 where Jenna and Matt both took a chance and swiped right on Bumble...and the rest is history! As Matt now says, "Always listen to your mother!"
