Matt and Jackie met through mutual friends in Summer 2013. Jackie was heading for a ladies night out with her girlfriend and invited some co-workers and friends to join. They met on the upper patio of Blue Water (which no longer exists) and Jackie began to chat Matt's ear off! We both enjoyed talking and were pretty tied at the hip the rest of the night. Ended up at Brix bar with the famous tag line 'A Great Place to Meet' and it sure was! This was the first interaction but Matt and Jackie hung out everyday for the rest of the summer. Going to the beach and cooking out with friends. It was the best summer ever!
On Easter morning Matt woke up very early and began prepping food for the Easter celebration later that day. When Jackie woke up, Matt asked for some help in the kitchen and asked for her to put on a nice outfit to go take pictures at the beach before Easter Mass. Jackie was about to leave in a few days to take a trip to Spain with her cousin and had recently purchased a tripod for her phone to take pictures. Matt's master plan was to 'test' the tripod at the beach to make sure it would work. As soon as they got to the Lifeguard Station, Matt pulled up and didn't park and told Jackie it would only take a few minutes and just to run down by the lifeguard chairs. Off we went and Matt grabbed the tripod and threw it in the sand! Jackie was shocked and couldn't believe he would do that! Then.... Matt got down on one knee and asked for Jackie's hand in marriage. A long time coming! Little did she know, Yves her brother-in-law was hiding in a lifeguard truck nearby capturing every moment of the proposal! After the big moment Jackie and Matt hopped on the back of the truck and went to take pictures at Blue Water - where their love story all began! Such a special morning for them both as they got to celebrate in church afterwards and share the special moment with family.
