FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests wear cocktail attire.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The catholic wedding ceremony will start promptly at 1pm CST. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Question

I've never been to a Catholic wedding. What should I expect?

Answer

The Catholic nuptial mass will last approximately 1 hour. At a Catholic mass, only those who have received the Catholic rites should accept communion. It is asked that all others remain seated during this portion. While we hope that you will join us for the ceremony, if you are not comfortable doing so please still join us for the reception.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the start of cocktail hour at 5pm?

Answer

We recommend that guests use this time to check into their hotel if they have not yet done so. For those looking for somewhere to go, please visit Bishop Hill Winery about 1 mile from the church and reception venue. Light refreshments will be provided.

Question

Is there parking available at the Church?

Answer

A large lot can be found behind St. Joseph's church. We recommend parking here for the ceremony.

Question

Is there parking available at the Grandball Room?

Answer

Parking can be found directly across the street. Guest may be dropped off at the door, but please do not park in front of the building.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. During the reception, please take as many as you wish!
