Things To Do

There are SO many things to do in Charleston! The internet is full of recommendations and if you're visiting Charleston for the first time, be sure to check out Market Street and take a walk along the battery. But we've listed just a few of the many great possibilities that we thought our guests may enjoy!

South Carolina Aquarium

100 Aquarium Wharf, Charleston, SC 29401
, (843) 577-3474

Hannah's marine biology research is based out of the South Carolina Aquarium! While she won't be there this weekend, she definitely recommends a visit, especially for those with kids!

Magnolia Plantation

3550 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414

Charleston is home to many beautiful plantations and gardens and Magnolia is by far Hannah's favorite for its preservation of natural beauty, gentle incorporation of wildlife, and romantic gardens in which there are flowers in bloom year round. Hannah was ecstatic to be able to bring Matt here and have him enjoy it as well! We'd definitely recommend a visit for anyone looking to visit a Charleston plantation.

Folly Beach

Folly Beach, SC

The beach in October? Living in coastal Carolina has its perks! Check out our favorite beach and see if you can find where we had our engagement photos taken!

Angel Oak Tree

3688 Angel Oak Road, Johns Island, SC 29455

This beautiful ancient tree is on Johns Island, just a few minutes from the wedding venue.

Firefly Distillery

6775 Bears Bluff Road, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487
, (843) 557-1405

Fancy a drink? Our wedding will only have champagne, but you can treat yourself to a tasting of local spirits at the Firefly Distillery, famous for its southern Sweet Tea Vodka.
