Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Mitchells Grove in Eureka, Ca.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. With some indoor seating options available during the reception.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code or theme?

Answer

Semi formal garden attire. Bright summer colors. High heels are not advised. A light coat or cover is suggested for the evening.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

June, the first month of the summer, in Eureka, is a comfortable month, with temperature in the range of an average low of 49.6°F (9.8°C) and an average high of 63.5°F (17.5°C).

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony. A cocktail hour will be available for earlier arrivals.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking may be limited. Shuttle options may be offered for guests staying at recommended locations.

Question

What will happen after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area for appetizers and beverages. Wedding activities will be available during this time, including a photo booth, a Cannabis Lounge, and more.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Brunch will be served on the day of and the day after the wedding for anyone supporting set up and clean up. Additional wedding events will be by invitation only.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by the 7th of June, online or through mail.

Are kids welcome? Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly by invitation only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes. Food and drinks will be served. Appetizers will be available during cocktail hour and after the ceremony. Dinner and drinks will be served during the reception. The dinner menu is TBD.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options will be available for guests. Guests with additional dietary restrictions should contact us ahead of time.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No. However, we will be serving beer, cider, wine, and specialty cocktails.

I heard you will have a Cannabis Lounge. How will it work?

Answer

Yes. A cannabis lounge will be available for guests 21+. To ensure all guests can control their exposer, the lounge will be located at a distance from the main wedding activities. We ask guests to utilize this area for all cannabis use. A bud tender will be available for recommendations and consumption support. New users are advised to limit their consumption.

Answer

We are register at Amazon and Bed, Bath, & Beyond. See registry tab on website for links.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

No. Per the Bride and Grooms wishes, all flowers and centerpieces will be donated to a local hospice or nursing home after the event. The action of donating these pieces is extremely important to the newlyweds values of sustainability and community support. In other words, all centerpieces and flowers have a home after the wedding and you may not take them. Thank you in advance!

What sustainability efforts make this wedding unique?

Answer

The three areas of sustainability that we followed while planning our wedding include being environmentally, socially, and economically responsible. Examples to be added soon.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #GeneseaAndMatt to help us keep track of all the wonderful pictures!

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 10pm. Guest are invited to stay for a Silent Disco after the reception ends. The Silent Disco will take place at the same venue. Please RSVP for the after party to reserve your headphones.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in [your wedding city]?

Answer

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We ask that all of our guests are vaccinated and/or tested before our wedding to insure the safety of every guest. Proof of vaccination or test results may be required. Testing site info TBA.

Question

Who should I contact if I need help on the day of the wedding?

Answer

Not the bride or groom. Day of coordination and support will be provided by Mason Dunn.
