We met at our first jobs out of college. We were both working for Gateway Bank- Matt was in the loan department and Gabby in Marketing. Although we never technically worked together, at a company of roughly 30 employees, it was hard for our paths not to cross. And after about 1 year of working under the same roof, at the company bowling party, conversations first sparked when Matt walked over to Gabby’s team and said “who the hell bowled a 32?”. It was Gabby and it’s safe to say we do not ever go on bowling dates. We’re going to stick to golf. That night they continued talking and after a few too many martinis, Gabby followed Matt on Instagram. About a month passes and Matt finally worked up the courage to make a move. He swiped up on one of Gabby’s Instagram stories, sparked a conversation, and the rest is history! The Instagram story was of Gabby in Nashville with friends and because of it, we now visit Nashville almost every year.

Gabby grew up going to her family’s cabin on Gull Lake every summer. When meeting Matt, she couldn’t wait to share this special town with him. It’s where Matt first met her family!
