No. You can stay wherever you'd like. However, if you do wish to stay at the hotel, a block of rooms has been reserved for the wedding at a price lower than advertised.
It is really too early to tell what the situation in Dallas County will be by the date of the wedding. Frank and I are vaccinated. However, we will follow whatever the County or the hotel mandates at the time of the wedding. Please remember that if you do not wish to follow these rules, you are welcome to withdraw your attendance. This is not your wedding. We want everything to go well, and will not have an attendee of our wedding cause problems with the hotel or the City of Dallas. Of course we want all of you to celebrate with us, so please be respectful of the venue.
Most of you I have spoken with regarding children. Please make sure that if you have a young one there, to please keep them wrangled up. It's very easy to get lost in a hotel, and it is not a good place to be lost. Also note that there will probably many adults there who have been drinking. We have made an effort to tone down the language in music that we like, but we can't control what comes out of other people's mouths.
Please know that if you were invited to this, we love you and would love to spend time with you. If you are from out of town and come in at the beginning of the week, we may be able to squeeze some time in. As the days leading up will become increasingly busy, we will have little time to spare. No worries though. If push comes to shove we will have some time at the reception.
If you live in DFW, you already know about these places. This is information for people traveling in from out of town who need resources or who may be here for more than a few days and want things to do. All of these businesses are gay-friendly and we support them.
