Iconic Center of Counterculture Movement This was the heart of SF’s rock ‘n roll scene and is still the center of the counter culture movement. You can visit Janis Joplin’s home, Or the home of the Grateful Dead. There are lots of unique and quirky shops or art throughout this area.
