What will the weather be like?

Glad you asked! Stinson is beautiful in April, however it is not a tropical beach location. For those of you who are Kidman fans, picture a cold day on Big Little Lies. Expect highs around 60 degrees and bring plenty of layers.

What are your plans to minimize risk of COVID-19 transmission?

Answer

We are requiring all adults and eligible children attending the wedding to be vaccinated with proof of a negative covid test within 3 days of arrival in Stinson Beach. You will need to confirm you did this via a link we will send out. If you are not vaccinated for medical reasons, please let Elena know so we can discuss whether it is safe for you to attend. The ceremony will be outdoors while the reception will be indoors, with option to sit outside.

Can you tell me more about what it's like to stay in Seadrift?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in Elena's family's home in Seadrift, a gated community just a few minutes north of the town. You can rent a house there through Highway 1 or Seadrift Realty and nearly all houses either access directly onto the beach or on a lagoon for swimming. This option is probably the nicest, but also the most expensive -- although in a group, the cost is similar to a hotel.

Can you tell me more about housing options in the town of Stinson Beach?

Answer

In the town of Stinson Beach, there are several options. House rentals (Highway 1 properties or Airbnb) are available "downtown" and in the "Calles." The latter area is located between the town and Seadrift and these houses tend to have beach access. Anything in the town of Stinson Beach will be no more than 5-7 minutes from our ceremony and reception.

What about staying in Bolinas?

Answer

Bolinas is the next town over and is about a 15 minute drive away. It is a famous hippie town with its own beach and restaurants and is fun to visit! We will be running shuttles for guests who stay there during our wedding weekend.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are already planning to provide options for dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian/vegan guests. These dietary restrictions will be included in a survey with our wedding invitation. If you have an allergy we should be aware of, please email elenadbutler@gmail.com.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We ask that you utilize the shuttles to attend the ceremony and reception. If you require a different accommodation, please contact us.
