When you arrive at the lake, you may want to continue along the trail around the lake for about 3 miles.
From the whitewater features to volleyball courts, bocce courts and horseshoe pits to the meandering walking path along the Payette River, Kelly’s is the place to be.
The Trail Creek Hot Springs is accessible right off the main road which follows the path of the river, but not visible from the road. Feels like you are fully immersed in nature, surrounded by mountains, rocky outcrops and lots of pine trees. The path to get down to the river and hot springs is a steep, winding, dirt packed path which requires some scrambling and downclimbing. Two separate pools with lower pool water being warm but not necessarily hot. Upper pool is hot but temp can be controlled with valve that can be opened to allow cold river water into the hot spring.
