There's a wedding in England and you're invited!

One fine Sunday morning in late October of 2016 Carol and Matt met at the Fresh Market for a coffee (and a Reuben sandwich). The next weekend they hiked the waterfalls of Sugar Hollow, discovering that they both loved the outdoors, and many more adventures followed. Carol had to fly home to Britain in December, but(!) the following July she got a job at UVa and moved to Charlottesville full-time so they could continue their journey!

Matt collected an unsuspecting Carol from work on a Friday evening in late August. He took her to their favourite walking trail where they stopped at a bench for tea and biscuits (cookies). As Carol was munching away, Matt pulled out a card and proceeded to read a poem he'd written. None of this seemed out of the ordinary for Carol as Matt often does thoughtful things like this. She slowly began to realise that the poem was not about the trail, as the title suggested, but about their journey together. Matt proposed with a beautiful 1920s art deco ring and she said 'of course I will!'. That night (and the rest of the weekend!) was spent drinking bottle after bottle of champaign with good friends!
