You can't come to Wilmington without seeing the beautiful coastline that is Wrightsville Beach. Take a walk on the 2 mile loop, stop for a Trolley Stop hot dog, or head out on Johnny Mercer's and Crystal Pier to get some gorgeous views of our favorite ocean!
Matt and I share a passion for delicious craft beers, and of course the head brewer here is from Matt's hometown of Winston Salem and also went to Clemson! Flying Machine has a great (and dog friendly!!!) list of craft brews and always has a food truck on site.
The public course in Wilmington! Everyone knows Matt is a golf pro, and he loves playing here - it's challenging, fun, and if the weather permits for February, might as well try to get a round in!
Wilmington's premier shopping center! There is every store you could imagine, from World Market to Banana Republic, my mom's favorite Palmetto Moon, and even a theater with recliners. Worth walking around and finding a bite to eat and shop!
If you want to enjoy an authentic, California-meets-Texmex meal, look no further than K38 Baja Grill. Cari's mom has worked with the late owner, Josh, for years and he has the best Baja/Mexican food in Wilmington. Make sure you get as much salsa as possible. Pro tip: the Shrimp/Pineapple/Bacon enchiladas are life changing.
Explore the beautiful, historic downtown Wilmington. Full of preserved mansions, amazing hole-in-the-wall eateries, coffee shops, and bakeries, this stretch of Downtown Wilmington along Front St. and Water St. are so beautiful. You can even catch a glimpse of our reception venue, The River Room, and also the USS Battleship that is parked on the north side of the Cape Fear River! If you want, they also do tours of the Battleship. Pretty neat.
Coffee lovers - look no further. This local coffee shop has great house coffee, lattes, and treats!
