Surf Drive Beach - Closest to Main Street in Falmouth, this is the beach Caitlin's family frequents. Daily parking fee. Falmouth Heights Beach - Matt's favorite beach! Conveniently located across the street from Shipwrecked beach bar. Daily parking fee. Trunk River Beach - Quaint little beach on the bike path. No parking attendant, so park where you please! Old Silver Beach - Iconic Falmouth, this beach is a bit further (20 minute drive) but is perfect for a long, luxurious beach day. Check out West Falmouth Market on the way for lunch/snacks. Daily parking fee.
The Knob - Novice walking trail with a beautiful view of Buzzard's Bay as the grand finale. Shining Sea Bikeway - Perfect for a scenic, flat bike ride, run, or walk & yap. You can rent bikes at Corner Cycle, 115 Palmer Ave, Falmouth, MA 508-540-4149. Main Street in Falmouth - Grab a Cape Cod tee-shirt or souvenir! Mashpee Commons - Shops, restaurants, and workout classes (Pilates, HITT, spinning, etc.) Island Queen Ferry - If you'd like to take advantage of Falmouth's proximity to Martha's Vineyard, we'd recommend checking out the Island Queen! It's a 35-minute trip from Falmouth to Oak Bluffs, where we'd recommend stopping at Lookout Tavern for a drink and delicious lunch overlooking the Nantucket Sound.
Coffee Obsession - Coffee shop with light breakfast fare. Caitlin loves the Mexican Mocha Latte! Maison Villatte - Warning that you will likely have to wait in line, but the sandwiches and pastries are well worth it. Their coffee is also great. Persy's Place - Directly next to the Inn on the Square. "New England's largest breakfast menu"... The Pickle Jar - Super popular for brunch and lunch. Be sure to put your name on the list with the host - can stroll around shops while you wait. Ben and Bill's - Our go-to ice cream and candy shop. Matt and Caitlin's favorite flavor is Mud Pie.
This little town is about a 10-minute drive from Falmouth proper and is one of our favorite places to stroll, grab dinner, or shop. Bonus town for a Falmouth trip! Masterson Made - Caitlin's favorite local vendor. They're known for their unique candles, hand-made cutting boards, and quirky trinkets, many of which are made on-site in their studio. Pie in the Sky Bakery - The best! Known for delicious breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. Restaurants - Our favorites are Landfall, Captain Kidd, and Water Street Kitchen (reservations accepted at all 3 and are recommended). Nobska Lighthouse - The iconic Falmouth Road Race beacon! Even if you don't stop, we recommend taking the beautiful scenic route by Nobska Lighthouse on your way to Woods Hole.
