How we met

Sometime in June 2015

Cailyn: I was at my friend’s birthday party at a pool, wearing a normal size bikini for someone from California...however, I must have caught Matt’s eye cause next thing I know he is asking me to play a game. His exactly pick up line was “wanna play beer ball? .... do you have any beer?” We later went to dinner even though I thought he was foolish but in my defense he was cute. The second date (third if you ask Matt) I found out he played golf... then the rest was history 😉. Now that you have the story... can’t wait to celebrate our wedding with you! Ps the tattoos are fake, the story below: Matt: If you know Doug (Cailyn’s dad) you know he does not love tattoos, so naturally, I ordered custom tattoos for Cailyn and I. We put them on Christmas morning and as soon as Doug handed me his present, a golf shirt from the La Cumbre pro shop (most likely won from a tournament 😂) it was time to show them our “new tattoos.” There was a yelp from Nina (Cailyn’s mom) and silence from Kiki and Blake. We eventually told them they are fake... Doug recovered and a year later in Hawaii (January 2019) said I could marry his daughter. He then (not 5 minutes later) turned around and told Cailyn, I guess I deserved it after the tattoo incident. Since Doug decided to ruin the engagement surprise I wait 4 months. I proposed in Utah at the top of Alta on 4/14/19.
