FAQs

Question

What is the wedding itinerary?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor on July 11th, 2026, with the ceremony beginning at 1:00pm and concluding around 2:30pm. Following the ceremony, please allow approximately 45 minutes for travel to our reception venue. We'll gather for a social hour and hors d'oeuvres beginning at 3:00pm, with the bar opening at 4:00pm for cocktails. Dinner and dancing will follow, with the evening concluding around 10:00pm.

Question

Are there any cultural traditions guests should be aware of?

Answer

Our wedding will be celebrated within a Nuptial Mass at a Catholic Church, and we are so grateful to share this sacred liturgy with you. Out of reverence for the Mass, we kindly ask that all cell phones be silenced, that no photos be taken during the ceremony, and that conversation be kept to a minimum while inside the church. Holy Communion is a sacred part of the Catholic faith. Those who are practicing Catholics and properly disposed are invited to receive. Guests who are not Catholic — or Catholics who are not presently prepared to receive — are warmly invited to remain in their pew and join us in prayer during this time.

Question

How should I dress for the wedding?

Answer

We're thrilled to celebrate with everyone dressed in their finest! We envision a festive, colorful celebration, so please wear anything from Summer Sunday Best to Summer Semi-Formal. This is the perfect occasion to dust off that special dress you've been saving for. A few practical notes: Our reception takes place in an outdoor venue with a gazebo set in a grassy field. While the gazebo features a concrete floor, the surrounding grounds are grass-covered, so we recommend footwear that handles uneven terrain gracefully—stilettos may sink into the ground. The reception area provides plenty of shade and a gentle breeze, though it may still be warm. We suggest dressing comfortably with the weather in mind.

Question

How do I get to and from the Church?

Answer

Christ the King is right off exit 41 on US-23.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The bar will open at 4:00pm for a cocktail hour. Feel free to head straight from the Church to the reception, which is approximately 45 minutes away from the Church.
