Check-in is Friday, June 20th at 1:00pm and check-out is Monday, June 23rd at 10:00am. Room assignments will be chosen by Briana & Matt and available at check-in! We rented out Borgo Corsignano for private use; a charming Italian village near Poppi, Italy in the Tuscan valley. The Borgo includes multiple historic houses with fully equipped kitchens, two pools, tennis court, gym, sauna, on-site reception, laundry room with irons + steamers, hair dryers in every bathroom, on-site snack/wine bodega (bring Euros!), and beautiful views. Don't forget to pack a bathing suit! As transportation is extremely limited in the area, we have pre-booked all guests for 3 nights of the wedding weekend. The total price per person for 3 nights is 750 USD (1500 USD for couples) and we will handle all payment logistics on our end. We are covering a portion of the accommodation cost, a light breakfast each morning, activities, and dinner each night. Villa accommodations are on a first come first serve basis. Once fully occupied, accommodations will be available at the nearby hotel. Payment in full can be sent to us via Zelle, cash, or check by the RSVP date --November 16th, 2024. If there are any questions please contact us directly. Zelle: Briana 708-510-8722 Check payable to: Briana DiBenedetto
Travel Note
Passports will need to be valid for 3 months from your entry to Europe. This means, if your passport expires before October 1, 2025, please begin your renewal application as soon as possible. Passports can take up to 3 months for renewal and we recommend renewing by end of 2024 to be safe! Airport options: Florence (FLR): Florence airport is the closest airport to Borgo Corsignano, approximately a 60-minute drive. Flying to FLR will make for a longer travel day, but an easier trip once on the ground. This is also a great city to train into. Rome (FCO): Rome will most likely have the best options for flights and is located approximately 2-hour and 53-minutes south of Borgo Corsignano. There are plenty of options to train to Florence or hire an airport transfer directly to the venue. Pro tip - stay in Rome for 2 nights to have time to explore the area and catch up on jet lag. Milano (MXP): Milan airport is the furthest option, but will make for a pretty roadtrip if you plan to travel to Lake Como or, throughout Bologna, Modena, Portofino, and Lucca. Approximately a 4-hour and 25-minute drive.
Travel Note
TAXI: If you are staying in Florence the night before, your hotel should be able to call your taxi to Borgo Corsignano on Friday. The venue is about 40 minutes away from the city centre. Uber is available in the bigger cities! There is also an app available to call a taxi: "iTaxi". You are able to request a car big enough for the amount of people plus the amount of luggage you have. CAR: Car rental in Italy is the best way to explore the towns in between the airport and Borgo Corsignano. There are plenty of parking spaces on-site and allows for the ability to go at your own pace. Sixt is the best car rental service in Italy and allows you to book with your US drivers license. If you plan on renting a car for the weekend, please read all requirements to ensure you will be able to get the car once in Italy! TRAIN: This is our recommended transportation to Borgo Corsignano! The trains are easy to navigate and can easily store all of your luggage! Trenitalia is the name of the train company and you can book your trip through their website. From Fiumicino Airport (Rome): There is one train transfer that will have to be made between the airport and Rome's city center (Roma Termini). You can then take a direct train to Arezzo (About 1 hour from Borgo Corsignano). From there, you can plan with a private driver or taxi to bring you to Poppi! From Amerigo Vespucci Airport (Florence): There is no train near the airport. You can get an uber or taxi to take you to Santa Maria Novella train station (the main train station in Florence)-- there are usually taxis waiting around the airport! The train to Arezzo from here is about 1 hour. From Arezzo you can plan with a private driver or taxi to bring you to Poppi!
