Breigh's perspective: It was love at first sight! Well not exactly, but we fell in love hard and fast. He definitely caught my eye the first time we met. I tried to play it cool, but that didn't last long. It was my first week on campus and Hurricane Harvey was on its way. We were both placed in the athletic apartments to be above the flooding. If it weren't for that I'm not sure we would have met. He regularly lived off-campus and I was supposed to be in the freshmen dorms. We like to say the hurricane was a little bit of a blessing in disguise. Our story is a long one, but I'll keep it short. Matt continuously made me laugh and challenged my opinions of him. I thought he was crazy and too much to handle when we first met. He was that guy that everyone loved to be around, but maybe didn't really know or appreciate enough. As we began to spend more and more time together, I got to know the real Matt. Our conversations lasted hours and they still do. Matt is an incredible guy and I'm continously amazed by him. I'm so thankful God blessed me with him. I've never felt loved and cherished by someone more. Brooke (my sister) loves to say we're "cringey" haha. If there's anything I want you to know, it's how much love is between Matt and me, and that the root of that love is Christ!

Matt's perspective: We started off as friends, then she saw me in the batting cages and instantly fell in love. Haha not really. But we did start out as friends and even during that time I knew I wanted to be more than that. It was so easy to talk with Breigh, to laugh with her. Just being around her brought a certain joy I still to this day cannot describe with any other word besides love. She is my number one. The good Lord truly blessed me with an amazing bestfriend I soon get to call my wife!
