Matt & Blaire have always been connected. In fact, their parents were in bible study together when they were expecting their little ones and Matt & Blaire were together in the church nursery. But we'll go ahead and jump forward a few (20) years. Well, first, for those who know Blaire, you know she has always had a crush on Matt. Think putting down his name on her list of potential husbands while playing M.A.S.H. kind of crush. Anyways, although the two had connected briefly in high school (I mean Matt asked for Blaire's number on Facebook and then never used it - although, he'll deny that ever happened), they didn't really reconnect until 2015 when Matt was working a musical Blaire was choreographing. The two definitely clicked and were finding any excuse to be backstage and hang out during the show (well, Blaire was finding any excuse, Matt kinda had to be back there cause you know, it's his job). The two went their separate ways and didn't see each other until they were both working the musical again the following year. Blaire can recall having butterflies before she even walked into the theater that day in January of 2016. "Will Matt be working?" "Oh my gosh what should I wear to rehearsal?" (spoiler alert - sweat pants). "Oh my gosh he's just so cute!", to name a few thoughts going through her mind. She saw Matt on stage and he saw her walking up and (as cheesy as it sounds) that was it! They were hooked! (Plus the large amounts of flirting Matt did didn't hurt the situation either). They spent the whole rehearsal talking about anything and everything - sharing thoughts and stories they had never really told anyone before. They could tell that this was real; this was special. After many car rides that consisted of hours of talking, sharing, LOTS of laughing and singing, and driving around town showing each other old spots of memories, the couple has been inseparable ever since!

"We're going out to dinner for Danielle's birthday," is the evening that was described to Blaire. She got ready for a nice dinner, Matt came to pick her up, and they headed for Downtown Visalia. Now ladies, we all know, women's intuition...it's real. Blaire had a feeling in her gut from the moment she woke up that morning that something was going to happen. So, when Matt suddenly changed course to go "turn in his time card" at work, her heart jumped - that was it! Matt had spent weeks planning the proposal with the help of his AMAZING co-workers/friends. So, when he and Blaire walked into LJ Williams that night, everything felt like a dream. Rose petals and string lights filled the hallway, forming a path that lead instead the theater. Once the door leading to the audience opened, a slideshow began to play photos of their memories together, along with what is now their song playing in the background. The couple sat in the audience reminiscing about all of the amazing times they had together and, while watching the show, Blaire noticed a camera recording them from the stage. Up until this point, Blaire wasn't sure this was the real deal. The couple was celebrating their anniversary in just a few days so this could have just been another sweet gesture from her boyfriend. However, the camera solidified - this was more. After the slideshow ended, the screen lifted to reveal all of their family and friends waiting on stage. Matt walked Blaire to the center of the stage, thanked everyone for coming, and turned to her, told her how much he loved her and couldn't imagine a future without her, and then got down on one knee. Blaire couldn't wait to say YES!! And here we are!
