One of our favorite walks on island, located 1 mile from downtown. This loop takes you to a beautiful view of Nantucket Sound and loops back totaling 0.9 miles. Oftentimes, you will meet a few dogs on your walk :)
Steps Beach, where Ashley said "I do" and our favorite beach, is a picture-perfect spot 1 mile from town, so you may want to drive, take a taxi/uber or bike. Enjoy the stunning views before descending the sweeping staircase to the beach. OTHER BEACHES: - Northern Shore (gentle waves): Jetties, Steps, Dionis, Washing Pond, Brant Point, Children's Beach - Southern Shore (heavier surf): Cisco, Surfside, Nobadeer, Ladies, Tom Nevers Beach
A short 10-minute walk from our wedding venue, Brant Point is a quaint lighthouse surrounded by beach that provides beautiful panoramic views of Nantucket Harbor. Grab coffee in town and enjoy a stroll to the lighthouse.
The most scenic path in Nantucket, the ‘Sconset Bluff Walk is a public walking path that goes from the picturesque village of Siasconset—where small fishing cottages covered in roses cluster along the bluff—to Sankaty Head Lighthouse. Located 8 miles from downtown, you'll need to drive or bike to reach it. To begin the walk, turn right after 21 Front Street and then make a quick left.
