Our Story
Matt was teaching elementary P.E. for a second year at a local school. Ansley had recently moved home after college and was preparing to teach first grade at a school near her home town. Neither of us knew that going to work would lead to a wedding. It was one of the first workdays before school began and there was a meeting for new teachers and their mentors. As soon as we were both in the room, we saw one another and both had a feeling we would be going on a date soon. After weeks of both of us being too nervous to ask, we finally ended up exchanging numbers after school one day. This exchange led to a hiking date at Crowders Mountain. Luckily, Ansley did not die on the hike and soon we had been together almost two years and Matt was on one knee at Oak Island asking Ansley to spend forever with him. Now, you get to be a part of the next event in our love story!
