Cocktail-Ish. Our celebration will be elegant, but not fussy, so please wear something that makes you happy!
Seating for the ceremony starts at 5:30 pm. The ceremony will begin at 6.
No, but we can see why you'd ask. If you type "Valley Green Inn" into Apple's Map app, Waze, or Google Maps it will pop up. To access the reserved parking, enter on Valley Green Road.
Masks are not required for our guests. All guests are vaccinated, except one guest under twelve. Our ceremony and reception space are in covered outdoor spaces. Please note that the bathrooms in Valley Green Inn are shared with restaurant patrons, so some crossover with those patrons is possible in that limited setting. The Valley Green Inn staff will be masked for our event.
We want to keep everyone safe and healthy. Our venue is mostly open-air and we have limited our guest list to help enable social distancing. All of the adults in attendance will be fully vaccinated, and there will be several children in attendance as well. And of course, if you aren’t feeling well, we ask that you please protect yourself and others by staying home.
We are following the guidelines from the CDC, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia health authorities. We want everyone to be healthy and feel safe, so if you have any questions, please let us know.
Mostly no. The ceremony and reception will take place on a covered patio with fans. Valley Green Inn is located right along the Wissahickon Creek and surrounded by forest, so the water and the shade should help keep the temperatures comfy. There is also a small indoor space that is air conditioned.
As soon as your plans are set, please let us know. Still figuring out your summer schedule? Let us know by June 1.
Yes! We hope there will be many happy memories to document, and we'd love to see your perspective of our special day! One exception: During the ceremony, we'd prefer you share the moment with us and let our professional photographer take care of the pictures.
We don't have any formally scheduled transportation between the hotels and the ceremony site. Uber and Lyft both have lots of cars in the area. If you need help with specific directions or a pick-up from a train or bus station, call us and we'll figure out a plan.
For the last few years, we have been going for long walks along Forbidden Drive, which is the name of the multi-use trail that runs along the Wissahickon Creek. We are excited to share a lovely location with our family and friends... and happy that whenever we walk there now, we'll get to revisit our wedding!
