Join In Celebrating The Wedding Of

Abi and Matt met for the first time at Matt's house in Normal, IL right before they both started grad school. Matt was hosting a birthday party for his friend Austyn. Abi was invited to join by some of the other graduate assistant's. This night was nothing out of the ordinary (except Abi kicked Matt's butt in darts). The following weekend Matt hosted another party to include all the graduate assistant's before school started. It was this night that they first teamed up and managed to do well together playing darts and beer pong against the other GA's. They have been an inseparable and unbeatable team sense that night.

After meeting, Matt asked Abi to go to dinner the following week. Matt planned out everything and even got a car wash before picking Abi up. They went to Biaggi's in Normal Illinois and after got ice cream in uptown. The night was filled with conversations about each others families and how close they are with their extended family. Fun fact! They ordered the same thing for dinner, and both got chocolate milkshakes for dessert. It is not uncommon for them to order the same meal even now!

Matt had gone out of town for the weekend, but told Abi he would take her on a date night once he got back to Normal. Abi was convinced that this was the night he would ask her to be his girlfriend. After dinner was over and they were laying in bed Matt had still not asked Abi to be his girlfriend. Abi wasn't able to fall asleep and couldn't stop thinking about how she had wished Matt would have asked her that night. Instead of waiting, Abi woke Matt up and attempted to "casually" let Matt know that whenever he was ready she would like to be his girlfriend. Taking the hint Matt asked Abi if she would like to officially be boyfriend and girlfriend. They have now been dating for 3 years strong and have accomplished many things together in that time including graduating from grad school, moving to Texas, buying a house, and getting their first dog Chip!

Matt had asked Abi to join him at one of his customers lunch-ins. He informed her that this would be a nice event and that they needed to dress accordingly. Little did Abi know they were not headed to meet any of Matt's customers. Instead they arrived at Garey Park in Georgetown, TX to an empty parking lot and no lunch-in. As they exited the car Abi was questioning why they were there and began to get suspicious. As they walked towards the back of Garey House Abi noticed there was someone else in the park as well. Once Matt had gotten Abi to the perfect spot on the patio he got down on one knee and asked Abi to marry him. Abi said yes and the photographer Matt had hired caught it all from the trees beyond.
