Flight
Monterrey’s airport code is MTY. We highly recommend flying Viva Aerobus (basically the Mexican version of Spirit, but great for direct and affordable flights). For our Minnesota people, consider splitting your trip into two legs for better deals: MSP → LAX, then Viva to MTY MSP → Dallas, then Dallas → MTY with Viva Ana loves a good flight deal, so feel free to reach out if you want help figuring out options.
Rental Car
From the airport, you have a few good options: - Uber - Official airport taxis (you can find the authorized taxi kiosks inside the airport) - Rental car (we recommend reserving in advance for a smoother experience) Please do not take taxis off the street or from people outside the airport calling out “taxi”.
House Or Rental
We’ll be staying at the JW Marriott Monterrey Valle, and would love for you to join us there. It will give us more chances to spend time together throughout the weekend. For a more affordable option, we also recommend the AC Hotel Monterrey Valle, which is nearby and equally well located. Both hotels are in great areas with amazing restaurants, shops, and everything you need close by. A shuttle will be provided to and from the wedding venue for guests staying at these hotels. If you plan to use the shuttle, please let us know when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Travel Note
We recommend using Uber to get around Monterrey. It’s safe, reliable, and the easiest way to move between places. A few tips: - Always double check the driver, name, and license plate before getting in - Never accept rides outside the app - Do not pay anything in cash, everything should be through the app
Travel Note
Like you would in any big city: - Be aware of your surroundings - Avoid walking alone very late at night - Don’t take taxis off the street Other than that, you’re good. Monterrey is an amazing city and we’re so excited for you to experience it. - At restaurants, tipping is customary. We recommend 10–15%. - At Mexican weddings, it’s common for each table to have a dedicated waiter taking care of food and drinks throughout the night. While completely optional, it’s customary to tip around 250 MXN pesos per person ($15–18 USD) or around 500 MXN pesos per couple (about $30 USD), especially if you’d like quicker drink service throughout the evening, so bring some cash 😉💃 This is usually given before dinner or shortly after dinner, before the party really gets going.
Travel Note
For the ceremony + reception, our suggested dress code is formal attire: Floor-length gowns for women and suits with ties for men. Colorful attire is encouraged! Feel free to click the link below to explore our Pinterest board with outfit inspiration. But most importantly, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. We’re simply so happy to celebrate with you! 💃
