Despite going to the same middle school and graduating from the same high school, Matti and Connor did not meet until 2020. Let’s just say, Connor is thankful he swiped right! After a few weeks of talking they decided to plan the perfect pandemic first date… a nice walk on a nature trail in Albany, NY. It was on that date Connor told Matti about his days working at the Wine Bar and his knowledge of fine wine. Later that night Connor opened a bottle of wine he had brought for Matti except…he didn’t open it correctly and the cork crumbled into pieces and fell into the wine. They used coffee filters to try and strain the wine but the damage was done… Clearly Matti liked Connors cork-y personality. The rest is history! :)

Connor brought Matti to the lookout of the lake at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, New York. It was there, by the water, Connor got down on one knee and asked Matti to be his wife.
