Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

It is a wedding, but please keep in mind that we are getting married outside on a working horse farm, but it is a wedding! You may want to bring a light jacket, sweater or shawl as spring evenings can get chilly once the sun goes down. Women: Sundress, maxi dress, Midi, cocktail dress, or jumpsuit. Think spring colors! Comfortable flats, boots, wedges, or block-heel sandals. Avoid stilettos or anything hard to walk in on grass, gravel or uneven paths. Men: Nice Chinos, dress pants with a button-down or collared shirt, optional blazer or tie. Nice boots, polished shoes or loafers. Avoid tuxedos.

Question

What’s the weather like / is the ceremony outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly and bring an extra layer for the evening chill. This is a farm in New England, guessing what the weather might be at any given time is like finding a needle in a hay stack. 😂

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 4pm We ask that everyone is seated by 3:50pm to give everyone time to get settled, chat with friends and family and admire the view before we begin the ceremony, please arrive no later than 3:30pm. Those that arrive late will be asked to wait just off the side of the tent until the ceremony is over.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be transportation to and from the hotel to Townshend Farm, however if you are not going to be staying at the hotel and opt to drive yourself, there will be limited parking on the property. We will have the option to park at neighbor's houses should additional parking be needed but we are encouraging most to opt to take the transportation from the hotel being provided for ease. We will be asking when you RSVP about transportation so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What time does the bus leave the hotel?

Answer

We will have transportation to and from the hotel so you do not have to worry about driving. We will provide more information on timing of bus or busses as it becomes available. We will also be asking who will be taking the bus ahead of time so we can plan for parking.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We have chosen to have an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony so our photographer can capture the moment—thank you! But after the ceremony, feel free to take all the pictures you would like. That being said, we want you also to just enjoy celebrating with us. We don't want phones and taking pictures to become a distraction from the celebration.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a fun night out!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would love to include everyone and those that are apart of your life, but we are limiting it to those specifically invited. Thank you for understanding

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

If you have to even ask that, you might not know us both that well. There will be some of our favorites including a lot of local made wine, spirits and beer. Two of our favorite bartenders will be there to craft some of our favorite drinks and have a great time with us. Just make sure to bring some cash to thank them for their hard work, but it will be an open bar.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

You can note any allergies or dietary needs when you RSVP—we’ll do our best to accommodate!

Question

What should I do if I can't attend after RSVPing?

Answer

We understand things outside of our control come up and might impact you being there for our special day. We just ask that if you have RSVP'd "yes" and things change, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate changes with the catering company.
