As many of you already know, this is a tale of two high school sweethearts. Matt and Julia had the same group of friends, which really started to overlap come Senior year. Just like every good love story, there needs to be that "moment" where two sparks fly. Theirs began on a "girls trip" to Chicago, which Matt so graciously tagged along to. It wasn't until the bus ride home, where these two had their "moment" over a game of thumb war (which is still debated today on who truly won that infamous game). Fast forward a month or two later, to Halloween 2009. They went to the Lakefront with a group of friends in Matt's Monte Carlo. This is where a Robot (Matt) asked Peter Pan (Julia) to be his girlfriend.

One hell of a long time later... Matt and Julia decided on a Sunday "Funday" date night. Unbeknownst to Julia, Matt had a plan. The night started at Elsa's for a lovely meal. After dinner, Julia begged to go and look at all the Christmas lights, and Matt's plan began to unfold. Julia, pushing her luck some more, wanted to take a picture by the center tree. Right as they made their way to the tree, a family of what felt like 50 came running towards them. The family passed and they had the whole park to themselves. Matt knew, it was finally his time. It wasn't until Matt got down on one knee that Julia realized what was happening. Her gloves went flying, as she screamed YESSSS!
