Matt and I love to travel, and with my job it makes it pretty easy. I have always wanted to go to Greece, something about the blue and white aesthetic and the stunning views had Greece at the top of my travel to do list for a while. I love to plan things. So early last year I was poking Matt for ideas for planning our next vacation so I could start doing what I do best, making lists. He casually threw out there, “How about Greece?” In hindsight I should have been a little more suspicious but I was too stoked to think about it. I began planning out what I thought was going to be our best trip yet, spoiler alert it was. The trip was soon approaching and while I know Matt hates my obsession with taking photos I told him we absolutely had to get a cute photo together in Greece that was not a selfie. Again, ever so casually he mentions he saw local photographers on Airbnb when we were looking for places to stay. He said he would look into it and I’m glad he did. Our photographer took us all around the hidden parts of Oía that you can only access if you are a local. Finally we make it to those iconic blue domes via the backyard of a 98 year old woman. The view was breathtaking and I was so caught up in it all that I almost didn’t catch the nod the photographer gave to Matt. Before I knew it he was down on one knee, which was impressive considering we were on steps. I can’t remember a single word he said because I was just as nervous as he was, but it was perfect. Then we celebrated with lunch and a bottle of Moët Chandon on a rooftop overlooking the very spot he had just proposed.
We are so excited to celebrate with you however, your health and safety are important to us. Due to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 Pandemic we have decided to postpone the wedding until 2021. Plus we needed more time to work on our dance moves!
