The average high and low temperatures for September 20th are 70 and 55 degrees F. Rochester has a reputation for clouds and rain (and snow), but we can expect a partly sunny and dry day in early fall.
Garden Party Chic! Please wear something nice, fun, and comfortable that makes you happy. More specific suggestions: ties discouraged, jackets of any kind are welcome (Denim? Corduroy? Leather?), dresses of any length, jumpsuits, gaudy accessories, loud colors and patterns! For footwear, please note that much of the event will be on grass.
We kindly ask that our guests provide their own transportation to the wedding venue. If you are driving, the Ontario Beach Park public parking lot is on Lake Avenue, to the right when approaching the venue. There is also a smaller lot across from the venue (near the Abbott’s Frozen Custard). We suggest you use rideshare - they will drop you immediately in front of the venue.
The wedding and reception will take place over two floors, and there is an elevator available for guests. There are bathrooms on each floor, but the bottom floor bathrooms are not private to our event.
Our buffet will have vegetarian and gluten-free options available. You will be able to alert us of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Please reach out to us at abbyandmattwedding2025@gmail.com.
A garbage plate is a combination of typical American bar food items all served together covered in a meat-based hot sauce. When you inevitably tell someone you went to Rochester, the first thing they will ask is if you tried a garbage plate. So now’s your chance!
