Cousin and twins separated at birth by 7 years. Although she now lives (too) far away, every time they get together it's like no time has passed. It has been mentioned that when Shannon and Alicia get together their conversations are so fast paced they are at a frequency that only dogs can hear. Alicia has, on more than one occasion (accidentally) eulogized Shannon in her overly enthusiastic birthday tributes. #WonderTwins Shannon is a sharp, funny, and witty writer. She is very well traveled and has been since she was a child; almost making it to Israel before the age of 10! Shannon and her husband Daryl live in Virginia and have a yellow lab, Austin.
Kevin Shamoun
Best Man
Friends with Matt for almost 30 years. Friends with Alicia for almost 15 years. 😳 On July 3rd, 2009 Kevin introduced Matt to Alicia; even though Matt (repeatedly) said he wasn't interested in meeting anyone, Kevin knew better and played upon Matt's love of a good party and politeness. Matt has said that growing up Kevin's house was like a second home to him. So Matt and Alicia moved to the neighborhood and live only a few houses away from Kevin's parents. Kevin is well-versed in all things Internet Technology and computers. He is still the best boss Alicia has ever worked with; Alicia likes to ask a million questions and Kevin likes to explain things. Kevin is married to a warm hearted and beautiful wife, Olivia; they live in Commerce with their 4 amazing children.
Megan Sledz

Megan and Alicia have been friends for only a few short years but, quickly found a shared love for all things cats, music, travel, work-outs, food, and drink related. Megan is often referred to as Alicia's "mini", for their similarities and reflective of Megan's tininess. She is warm-hearted, thoughtful of others, generous, and detail oriented. Megan is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Michigan and frequently travels with a volunteer organization to underserved countries around the world. Megan is engaged and will be getting married in October 2019. She and her Fiancé, Gareth, live in New Hudson with their revered older cat named Emily who looks like the cat equivalent of a quintessentially Irish person. Emily has orange and white stripes with startlingly beautiful green eyes.
Mike McClincy
Groomsman
Matt and Mike have known each other for 23 years; meeting as Freshman in the Theta Xi fraternity house at GMI/Kettering University. They quickly formed a bond and continued to room together nearly their entire college careers. Sharing a love of EVERYTHING outdoors related; they made unforgettable ATV trips to places like Wellsville, Ohio, Wayne National forest, skiing in Searchmont, Canada, and snowboarding trips in Colorado at Breckenridge, Vail, Copper Mountain, and Keystone resorts. Although schedules don't allow them to see each other as often as they would like, they talk, at least, weekly (Matt will never stop trying to get Mike to move his family to Michigan). Matt was a groomsman in Mike's wedding. Mike and his wife Kim live in Ohio with their kids, Carson and Lauren.
Shanin Gillman

Shanin and Alicia have known each other for 8 years. She has a giving nature and is always making sure that everyone around her has anything they might need. Shanin has been very busy during the 8 years Matt and Alicia have known her: working full time while going to school for her CPA, caring for her niece, having her son, and getting married- all before the age of 30(!) 😎 She is a remarkable mother and aunt, who never fails to make the children a priority; constantly striving (and succeeding) to be the best wife, mother, friend, and employee. Shanin and her husband, Tony, live in New Hudson with their son Hudson and niece Ella.
Tony Gillman

Matt and Tony have known each other for about 12 years. They spend time with their significant others nearly weekly and have been on some amazing trips, and not the least is when Tony joins Matt on his annual snowboarding trip to Winterpark Colorado. Tony can turn any gathering into a great time. They have teamed up to play some incredible rounds of golf together that will never be forgotten. Matt was a groomsman in Tony’s wedding to Shanin. Tony and his wife Shanin live in New Hudson with their son, Hudson and niece Ella.
Emma Bain

Oldest niece of the Bride. Emma is curious, ever observant, a budding artist, and shares Alicia's love of writing out "To-Do" lists. Emma loves to run Cross-Country and is on the Swim team. She is starting 7th 😳 grade in fall 2018.
Scott Laudan
Groomsman
Friends with Matt for 23 years and Theta Xi fraternity brothers where they met at GMI/Kettering University. Matt has played more golf with Scott than anyone else, and they continue their lifelong battle on who has the longest drive. As adults they developed a love of hunting and can often be found talking about their hits and misses. Scott has always been someone that Matt could count on for anything. Matt was a groomsman in Scott’s wedding. Scott and his wife, Sarah live in Lake Orion with their 3 children: Mackenzie, Caleb, and Mia.
Becki Vollmer
Bridesmaid
Becki is younger sister to the Groom. Growing up together they spent many hours in the water; at the family cottage on Lake Erie, Kendallwood Swim Club, and on Wolverine Lake on the boat tubing, skiing, and swimming until dark. Becki is extremely hard working and reliable; she will do everything possible to keep a task from going unfinished. She possesses the Vollmer trait of requiring little to no sleep and frequently functions on 4 or less consecutive hours a night- a feat that Matt has long wished to achieve. Becki and her husband, Chad, live in New Hudson and have a newborn daughter: Ellyson.
Charlie Jacobs

Matt has known Charlie for 35 years, where they met in 1st grade. Their families lived in the same neighborhood twice allowing them to spend a lot of time at each other’s homes. There were untold hours together outdoors as kids whether it was fishing/biking in the neighborhood, tennis team, or swimming at the club. They love to fish together on Wolverine and Hidden Lakes and continue to fish together when possible as adults. Matt was a groomsman in Charlie’s wedding. Charlie and his wife Ellyse live in Livonia with their 2 kids: Charlie II and Evie. Matt is godfather to Charlie’s daughter Evie.
Scott Meyer

Matt has known Scott for almost 10 years; introduced by fellow groomsman Tony Gillman. Scott is kind-hearted, has an impressive personal determination, and always gives people the benefit of the doubt. His faith is of the utmost importance and is reflective in his every day modus operandi. Scott and Alicia can usually be found together, laughing about something and talking TV shows. Scott and his wife, Liz, live in Livonia with their 2 daughters: Emma and Avery.
Kyle Bain
Groomsman
Kyle is younger brother of the Bride. Lovingly referred to, by Alicia, as "Baby Ky-yo". He is usually laid back but, doesn't suffer fools gladly. Having the good fortune of a notoriously mean and protective older sister; he was known in school by the fear inducing title, "Alicia's brother". Affording him the rare opportunity to skate through 6th-12th grade, unscathed. Kyle is a social butterfly, compassionate, hilarious, insightful, and is quick to help anyone in need. He loves cars and is an encyclopedia of information about them. Much to Matt's chagrin, Alicia and Kyle are known to frequently hold conversations using only quotes from movies and are constantly comparing notes on all things music- past and present. Kyle and his wife, Mandy, have 3 children: Emma, Landen, and Grace.
Grace Bain
Flower Girl
Grace is the definition of the cliched phrase, "old soul". She is astute, has a surprisingly dry sense of humor, and is a delightful combination of "tom-boy" and "girly-girl". She toggles between being the star of the show (!) to wallflower, sometimes all in the matter of minutes depending on her mood. Grace will be starting 1st grade in Fall 2018.
Landen Bain

Landen is the favorite nephew to the Bride. He is a baseball and hockey superstar. LOVES video games and is surprisingly fashion-forward. Landen has a quiet confidence, a great sense of humor and a very genteel manor about him. He will starting 5th grade in Fall 2018.
