EUG vs PDX

Eugene has a regional airport that is convenient. Portland may have more flight options, depending on your point of origin, but it is about 120 miles North. Trains and buses run frequently, just adding a bit of time to the adventure.

If you fly into Portland, it is pretty easy to take a train down to Eugene. The train station is convenient to downtown and hotels, and saves you a 2 hour drive down I-5.

Ride Share

Eugene has cab services, but it is nothing like NYC where hailing a cab is second nature. If you don't have a personal vehicle, ride share services (like Lyft) will be your second best bet. Making friends with someone who has a personal vehicle is your most sociable option.
