If you’re looking for something easy and fun to do, Stone Tower is a great spot to spend an afternoon. It’s about 15 minutes from The Birkby House and has really pretty vineyard views, good wine flights, and lots of outdoor space to hang out. It can get busy on weekends, so making a reservation ahead of time is a good idea.
Crooked Run is a really fun, laid-back brewery right in Leesburg if you’re more in the mood for beer than wine. They have a great mix of IPAs, lagers, and sours, and it’s an easy spot to pop into for a casual drink. It’s super relaxed and close to everything downtown, so it’s a good option if you’re already exploring the area.
If you feel like teeing up while you’re here, Raspberry Falls is one of our favorite local courses, it’s got a classic look and feel with winding fairways and pretty views, and you don’t have to be a member to play. It’s a great option for an enjoyable round with friends or family while everyone is in town.
We’re getting married just after peak cherry blossom season, which means DC will still be in full spring bloom. If you have time to explore, we highly recommend walking around the Tidal Basin or the National Mall, it’s such a special time of year in the city and one of our favorite seasons here.
