We met on the street I grew up on. Mike used to come around a lot because he grew up with the other kids on my street. We were inseparable ever since we met, whether it was sitting on the green electrical box until the street lights came on or driving around town listening to Tim McGraw. Our friendship grew deeper and we were best friends all through high school. We lost touch when Mike moved out of state, but the day he moved back to California we started right where we left off. He mustered up the courage to kiss me and everything changed. We have been in love ever since. I get to marry my best friend!
Mike took me on a camping road trip up the California coast to Cambria,Ca. I would always tell him how special that place was to me. We took a walk down to a secluded beach to watch the sunset. He played our song and we danced, (this was not out of the ordinary so I still had no clue what was about to happen). He got down on one knee and proposed. He surprised me that night with a quaint boutique Inn on Moonstone Beach. Every time we tell the story of how he proposed, we like to show the video of our dog Koa. When we first checked into our room, she peed all over the bed while I was taking a little instagram video of the room!!! It was awful at the time, but we laugh about it now!
