We're Getting Married!!!

In June of 2019, Andrew and I crossed paths through a social media platform. We were both astound by each others profile pictures. I could not help but notice Andrew’s wonderful smile. A smile that is so kind and joyful. Before I knew it, I messaged him stating that he had a beautiful smile. He responded back with “thank you, so do you” . After exchanging numbers, we conversed daily for hours. We decided to meet in person at Buffalo Brothers. Drew was such a gentleman. When I arrived at the table, he stood up. I thought he was standing up to shake my hand or hug me, but instead he waited for me to take my seat first. Wow... what an amazing first date! We both experienced excitement and butterflies from this wonderful day. After some time of dating, we decided to take a trip together. During this trip we realized that we were meant to be. From that moment, we wanted to be in each other lives for the rest of our lives. It was a moment that we will never forget and an official committment to one another that we made at that time. Matika: Over the past five years, I have truly gained the experience of not only meeting my best friend but also understanding what it means to really be in love. I love his smile, his skillful gift as a musician, and most of all....the way he loves every part of me. He has shown me how to address every situation from a place of love and has embraced with me showers of prayer and support during my most vulnerable moments. Our road has been far from easy and we have vowed to continue PUSHING, enhancing our POWER and executing through PRAYER while we are on our journey together. Being a daddy's girl and the baby girl, my heart would never allow me to let another man attempt to fill my father's shoes. Reflecting on the moment of my father extending his arm out just a few weeks before God called him home just to say these words to Andrew, "Welcome to the family son and you have my blessing" defined why I am honored to marry this man. I am grateful to spend the rest of my life with a man created just for me. Drew: I am grateful and thankful God have blessed me with such an opportunity to love and to share my life with an amazing woman such as Matika. This experience has been life-changing, the moments we share together and the conversations that we’ve embrace together has added so much color to the black-and-white spaces of my life Tika is the completion of a masterpiece. Together we are uniquely incredible. Growing in love with each other every day throughout life challenges has been worth every sacrifice and tough decisions that we’ve conquered, together. Thanking god consistently because it’s not that I’ve done anything so great to deserve such a woman, but god blessed me and I’ve been so Patiently waiting for this moment. thank you Lord.
