We met in high school through mutual friends. It was 2008 and we were just 15 & 16 years old. We quickly became friends and developed an inseparable bond. After spending hours on the phone together nearly every day and frequent hangouts, we decided to become a couple. We stayed together even after Victoria went away to college in North Carolina. The distance made it tough, but ultimately our love was strong enough to overcome those challenges. Just a week before Tori’s college graduation, we were surprised to learn we were going to become parents; we welcomed Savanna on January 15, 2017. We continued to learn and grow as parents and into adulthood together – and purchased our first home in November 2020. The following month, Sean proposed at the Detroit Zoo in front of all of our loved ones! Shortly after (May), we welcomed Sean III to our family. Now we’re tying the knot and continuing their journey of commitment, love, and happiness, while raising two beautiful children and making a ton of great memories!
Typically we celebrate December 20th of every year to mark our anniversary. But on December 23, 2020, Sean arranged “family photos” at the Detroit Zoo, during the Christmas light’s show. We met with an employee who showed us “the best spot to take photos”; and as Victoria walked across the bridge (with high heels, btw AND in the dark) with absolutely no Christmas lights in sight, she began thinking, “Where in the world is she taking us!?” After finally passing the bridge, bright lights with the words “Will You Marry Me?”, flashed! Her jaw instantly dropped, she turned around to find Sean on one knee. At that point, family began walking towards us, out of nowhere! We were both smiling ear to ear. It was one of the happiest moments in our lives and we can’t wait to celebrate our love with family and friends!
