In true millennial fashion, Jordan and Allyson's relationship began online. No, not Farmer's Only (they weren't that desperate...yet), Bumble. On Bumble the girl has to make the move first, so naturally Allyson's opening line was, "Hi! What's your go-to karaoke song?" because, duh, priorities. Jordan quickly replied, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and Allyson knew she was in trouble. Nothing makes her go weak in the knees like a guy belting out Top Gun greatest hits. Their conversation continued all weekend and as fate would have it, Allyson was going to be in Emmetsburg the following week for work so they decided to meet up. With it being November, Jordan was still in the field so that meant date night was in the tractor. Seven hours later, Allyson and Jordan still hadn't run out of things to talk about but decided it was best to call it a night. Since that evening, the pair has been inseparable, spending almost every weekend together either in Des Moines, Emmetsburg or Okoboji. In two years, they've fallen in love with not just each other, but also their families, friends and Dairy Queen summer blizzard series. Jordan took Allyson back out to the same field where they had their first date but this time it wasn't for a tractor ride, it was to take a drone picture of the field for insurance—or so she thought. As she was obliviously playing with her dog, Jordan handed her the drone controller and said, "I found it." She looked down at the screen and made out three letters: M-A-R... You know where this is headed. Completely shocked, Allyson looked up and found Jordan down on one knee with the biggest smile on his face and ring in his hand. Luckily there's no plot twist here. Allyson said, "YES!" and the two are now one of those overly giddy, engaged couples that make their nieces squirm when they kiss. They can't wait to celebrate with you!
