Flight
For direct flights from Europe, we recommend Air France or Air Mauritius. Departures are generally from Paris CDG and land in Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU). Book early for the best prices and flexibility.
Rental Car
We highly recommend renting a car for the week. Public transport is very slow, and taxi costs add up. Mauritius looks small, but don’t be fooled: crossing the island can easily take 2.5 hours due to winding roads and traffic. Plan your itinerary with buffer time—and drive on the left side of the road! Tip: Book with Hertz at the airport for convenience. And don’t forget to take photos and videos of the car during pickup—it's a common way to avoid surprises during return.
Hotel
Le Canonnier – Perfect for families, beachfront, and relaxed. LUX Grand Baie* – Ultra-modern, high-end, and centrally located. LUX Grand Gaube* – Quiet luxury, ideal for couples. Le Mauricia – Budget-friendly with all the basics. Le Coin de Mire – Casual and authentic, a solid base for exploring the north. More beautiful hotels: Paradise Cove, 20 Degrés Sud, Trou aux Biches...
House Or Rental
There are many charming Airbnbs and villas in the north (Grand Baie, Pereybère, Cap Malheureux). ⚠️ Important: Always double-check distances! A house may look close to the venue on the map but could be a long drive in reality.
