Just as Meg was trying to give online dating another shot, Austin was about to give it up. Luckily, they both caught each other's eye one afternoon in April. Thanks to a well timed birthday party of a friend, they decided to meet up where they were celebrating the birthday. Austin and Meg spent the night talking and laughing, and the rest is history. Since then, Austin has taught Meg about all things Chicago like the Blackhawks, the Chicago Cubs, and how to turn left at an intersection in the city. Meg, in turn, has opened Austin's tastebuds to Indian food, seafood, and provided an education on Tex-Mex food and the difference between a taco and burrito. Austin took Meg to her first Cubs game for their first date, which also happened to be opening day in 2016. While they aren't saying their relationship is good luck, the Cubs did win the World Series that year. They still share a love for Cubs games, breaking out into spontaneous dance amid Target, belting music in the car, and their ever goofy dog, Clark (named after Clark St. in Chicago).
