What is the dress code?

Answer

For pre-wedding events, semi-formal/cocktail attire is encouraged. The dress code for the wedding day will be formal. Either Indian or Western clothes are welcome!

Do I have to attend the Mehndi party and the Grah Shanti?

Answer

No. These events are less formal opportunities to have fun and celebrate before the big day! While everyone is welcome to these events, your presence is completely optional. Both of these events will be held near Rockford, IL. If you do plan to attend these pre-wedding events, please indicate this in your online RSVP so we can order the appropriate amount of food and drinks!

How do I get from Rockford to Lisle?

Answer

If you're planning to attend the pre-wedding events in Rockford on Friday and Saturday as well as the wedding in Lisle on Sunday, we recommend driving. We will also look into renting a charter bus for our out-of-town guests -- please let us know in your RSVP if that is something you would be interested in!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding and reception events on Sunday will be an adults-only affair. We kindly request you leave your children under age 10 at home.

Can I bring my children to the Mehndi Party, Grah Shanti & Haldi Ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome to any of the pre-wedding events.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have plenty of vegetarian options available, but please let us know in advance if you have any other food allergies or restrictions.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding celebration is the best present we could hope for, so for that reason we have chosen not to have a gift registry.
