We met in our sophomore geometry class at Marcos De Niza high school in 2009. I sat behind Malorie for most of the year and I thought she was super weird. Thank God that was just a phase.
We had been planning a trip together to Las Vegas since February. I thought it was a perfect time to make the leap. Over the next two months, I procured the ring and began to formulate ideas of how to do it. everything else was ready, I just had to ask. I thought on it for days and came to the conclusion that I would take her to Heart Attack Grill while we were in Vegas. After enjoying a nice meal, upon leaving I would ask the waitress to take our picture and I would propose to her. That's not what I did. A couple of days before April 16, I figured out the best possible proposal for this beautiful woman. I would have her mom hold our 1 year old child on her lap on the couch and she would have que cards for Malorie to read. The que cards read: "Hi Mommy, Daddy and I love you very much, But mommy did you know Daddy is sad sometimes, I don't like seeing my Daddy sad, Mommy can you help cheer Daddy up, Will you marry my Daddy" to which she would turn around and I would get on one knee and propose. Happy to say, it mostly worked out. The child failed to ensure he held the que cards, but she loved it anyways.
