Sometimes love doesn’t arrive when life is simple — it arrives when it’s most needed. After walking through heartbreak, I wasn’t sure if love like this could be real. But then came Mat. He didn’t just fall in love with me — he stepped into the lives of my three children with open arms and a steady heart. What started as two people finding each other quickly became something bigger: a family. The kids called him “Papa,” and it stuck — because he was never halfway in. From bedtime handshakes to skateboarding lessons, to hugs at the door and prayers at night, he showed them (and me) that love can heal, rebuild, and make us whole. Our story is not about perfection. It’s about grace. It’s about second chances. It’s about the kind of love that feels like home. And on this day, surrounded by all of you — the people who have walked with us, prayed for us, and cheered us on — we begin forever.
