How We Met

Mateo & I first met while attending a church event in June, 2022. We chatted & I was quite attracted to him. As Mateo was leaving, I remember my heart started beating very fast. Despite the fact that I was leaving to the Philippines on a 2yr missionary journey in Sept, I made the bold decision to RUN AFTER THIS MAN. I know. I can't believe it either. I caught up & asked him for coffee to which he replied.. "Oh! I actually have a girlfriend." #shutdown 

Fast forward to 8:14pm, Dec 7th, 2024. This man slides into my DMs basically saying he never forgot about me lol & wondered if the coffee offer still stood.  At 7:27pm on Dec 16th, I replied as if I hadn't left him on read for 9 days saying I'd love to go out 

We went out on Dec 21st & spent 16hrs together. Mateo knew I was the one immediately. Apparently he called his mom & even shed some tears ;* I knew shortly after that this was the man the Lord had for me. 6 months later we're getting married and the rest is history <3
