Van and Kevin met in 2016 when a virtual friendship turned into a story of true love. It is one that has endured the test of distance and time. After just 6 months into their relationship, Kevin's career took him to Little Rock, Arkansas to complete his anesthesiology residency, while Van pursued her dream attending fashion school in Los Angeles, California. Despite the 1600 miles which separated them, they discovered that not only did the distance allow them to each grow individually, but also further solidified the foundation of their relationship and love; as the distance grew, so did their love for one another. On December 20, 2019, Kevin proposed to Van as the sun set in the scenic backdrop of Malibu, California. This 4-year journey culminated in an intimate ceremony that took place in the majestic courtyard of St. James Catholic Church on September 19, 2020, where they were pronounced husband and wife. They turned their honeymoon into a mini road-trip to Little Rock, Arkansas where they have spent the past 9 months growing their family while Kevin completed his residency. Two puppies later, the Barkley's make their return to Southern California to take the next step in their journey. Establishing new roots in Ventura, they are excited to finally share their love with you in a way that they couldn't in 2020. So let’s all come together to celebrate good health, family, and love!
