We met in 2012, while working at the same Dunedin bar and we've been inseparable ever since, living together from our very first date. Since then, we graduated, got a dog (Huxley), and moved to the city of sails, Auckland. Fast forward to November 17th, 2018 - date night. We had dinner on Kohimarama Beach, Hanna was sitting in-between Matt's legs talking about the shells she'd found that she could totally wear as rings, completely oblivious to the fact that this gave Matas the perfect intro into whipping out the engagement ring he had stashed in his pocket. Hanna showed her surprise by struggling to string together two words for a while, but eventually said YES!! Needless to say, the diamond trumped the shell-rings.
