The story of Danny & Leah is what many historians claim to be one that has had a profound effect on many lives. To better understand what mathematically makes Danny + Leah = Danny & Leah, one must first have a understanding of their timeline.

November 1, 2008: Leah & Danny become Facebook Friends… You know, when Facebook was super new and super cool. You weren’t really “friends” unless you were Facebook friends, right?? December 11, 2009: Danny muscles up the courage to ask Leah Trombley to Senior Prom, only to ditch her as his date four months later, for reasons unknown. This ultimately would leave Danny without prom date, changing the course of history for both Danny & Leah forever….. or so it was presumed. May 6, 2010: Leah asks Danny for a summer job at Sonic before she goes away to college at Western Michigan University. Danny politely declines, as he did not see Leah as fit for restaurants. They required hard work, responsibility and punctuality which Leah presumably lacked. After being denied, Leah goes behind Danny’s back to Mario asking for the job to which Mario obliged. Now, against Danny’s will, the two would now spend the summer as co-worker’s. September 5, 2010: Leah heads off to Western Michigan University to pursue her bachelor’s degree. Danny would never visit Leah in Kalamazoo, but the two would keep in touch throughout the years.

January 25, 2019: Leah is back to Metro Detroit and the relationship between the two picked right back up where it left off. Hanging out as “just friends” for several months, eventually turning into secretly going on dates without telling any of their friends. They thought they were being so sneaky, but apparently everyone knew exactly what was going on… May 26, 2019: Danny & Leah attend their first wedding together as a couple with friends and family in Toronto, ON… This would ultimately become the city where Danny realized that he is in love with Leah. He was quoted: “May 25, 2019 at the top of the Thompson Hotel Rooftop, watching the sunset overlooking the entire city, right then and there, I knew she would be the one.” June 2019 - August 2021: Incredible memories made and shared with their friends and family. Unfortunately this would turn this timeline into a novel. Fast Forward… September 1, 2021: Danny had made it no secret to many of his friends that when it was time to propose to Leah, he would do so in the city where it all started... After weeks of hummus, cocktails and planning at Leila’s with friends, the day had finally come and we found ourselves in Toronto, the city where it all started. Leah knowing nothing of what’s happening around her, just a trip to her favorite city with some of her favorite friends is how she saw it.

September 4, 2021: Although the trip was suppose to be a causal trip with friends, Danny had suggested that the two of them spend a day together without their friends since it was their “city” after all. They started the day off with a run through the city, followed by some coffee and brunch. Made their way over to Queen Street for some shopping then over to Yorkville for some window shopping. An early dinner was planned at 5PM then finally meeting back up with their friends at a rooftop downtown. After dinner, Danny & Leah made their way up to the rooftop. While waiting for their friends (on standby in the lobby downstairs), a “photographer” for the resturant had asked for a picture in which Leah responded “OMG! YES! We would love one!”, thinking she could also ask her to take a picture on her phone as well. Seconds go by and when Leah looks over, Danny has a stone in his hand, on one knee.. “Will you marry me, Leah Trombley?”… The rest is history.

There is no better feeling than knowing you are not only going to marry the person you love, but also that you will marry your absolute best friend. The two of us cannot wait to celebrate our love for one another with our family, friends and those we love most!
