Raymond and Andrea weren’t dating. They weren’t even friends. They first crossed paths at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2018. Raymond left Andrea with the impression that he was a genuinely kind person. However, they didn’t see each other again until July 2019. From there, they naturally fell into the same small friend group: going out together, hosting the occasional get-together, and even taking a few trips around Texas. Nothing really shifted until December 2022, when Raymond needed a plus-one for his company Christmas party. Naturally, he was looking for someone fun, kind, witty, effortlessly charming… the obvious choice being his good friend, Andrea. She had never been anyone’s plus-one before, but true to who she is, she embraced it fully and showed up ready to impress and be a great plus-one! It worked. Just two months later, Raymond asked her on a date for the following Monday. It only caused momentary confusion when they both realized that Monday was February 14th - Valentine's Day. The laughing, the talking, and the friendship never ended. They continued to share so much of each other, opening up and finding a safe place to be vulnerable, honest, and most importantly, to be themselves. Together, they’ve shared countless adventures, big and small—from laughing over insane podcast stories and trying new foods to camping in state parks and traveling internationally. All along, being each other’s biggest supporters, closest companions, and truest friends. Every step was unexpected, but never uncertain. . Raymond y Andrea no estaban saliendo. Ni siquiera eran amigos. Se cruzaron por primera vez en la fiesta de cumpleaños de un amigo en común en 2018. Raymond dejó en Andrea la impresión de ser una persona genuinamente amable. Sin embargo, no volvieron a verse sino hasta julio de 2019. A partir de ahí, de manera natural, comenzaron a formar parte del mismo pequeño grupo de amigos: saliendo juntos, organizando alguna que otra reunión e incluso haciendo algunos viajes por Texas. Nada cambió realmente hasta diciembre de 2022, cuando Raymond necesitaba una acompañante para la fiesta navideña de su empresa. Naturalmente, buscaba a alguien divertida, amable, ingeniosa y con un encanto sin esfuerzo… y la elección obvia fue su buena amiga, Andrea. Ella nunca antes había sido el “plus-one” de nadie, pero fiel a su forma de ser, lo asumió por completo y llegó lista para impresionar y ser una acompañante increíble. Funcionó. Tan solo dos meses después, Raymond la invitó a salir el lunes siguiente. La confusión fue momentánea cuando ambos se dieron cuenta de que ese lunes era 14 de febrero: el Día de San Valentín. Las risas, las conversaciones y la amistad nunca terminaron. Siguieron compartiendo tanto el uno del otro, abriéndose y encontrando un espacio seguro para ser vulnerables, honestos y, lo más importante, para ser ellos mismos. Juntos han compartido incontables aventuras, grandes y pequeñas: desde reírse con historias absurdas de podcasts y probar comidas nuevas, hasta acampar en parques estatales y viajar al extranjero. Durante todo el camino, siendo el mayor apoyo del otro, sus compañeros más cercanos y sus amigos más sinceros. Cada paso fue inesperado, pero nunca incierto.
